California Bankruptcy Court clears Black Market Records of all debts in court.

California Bankruptcy Court has cleared Ced Singleton and Black Market Records of all debt and legal obligations to all of the titles that were included in the bankruptcy from 2005 at the very end of 2015. The Black Market Records bankruptcy case of 2014 was settled and finalized in 2016 with debtor, lawyers, and judges in court. Ced Singleton settled with the debtors and the lawyers out of court as well. The bankruptcy case is now officially closed.

To recap, on the date of 11/22/2014, Ced Singleton filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and Chapter 11 bankruptcy for his Black Market Records business. The case was taken to California Eastern Bankruptcy Court at that time. The motion to dismiss was denied without prejudice by the judge. Trustee Cedric Singleton asked the court to dismiss this bankruptcy case. California Bankruptcy Court cleared Black Market Records of all debt and legal obligations to all of the titles that were included in the bankruptcy from 2005. Ced Singleton settled with the debtors and the lawyers which closed the bankruptcy in the year of 2015.

Ced Singleton never added William Larcell Charles as a creditor to the Black Market Records bankruptcy because he wasn't named in the publishing. They never signed no agreements or contracts. Ced kept him out of everything. In other words, William Larcell Charles was blackballed by Ced Singleton and Black Market Records. Ced Singleton still owes William Larcell Charles publishing royalties for which he never rightfully received. He claims he never saw any royalty checks from either party.

  2. Cedric left Triple Beam out of the bankruptcy too, therefore the group was unable to collect their royalties. Plus he still sells their music today. He's not a Suge Knight, CEDSING couldn't hurt a fly if he tried. He gets away with it because he pencil whips artist. Most artist don't know how or what royalties their entitled too. By the time they figure it out its too late. If you ever received a check from black market records and it didn't bounce, consider yourself blessed. Anyone looking to sign with black market records should have their on attorney first or they'll most likely get cheated out their royalties too.

    1. True. Ced never paid half of his artists properly. That doesn't excuse the poor mismanagement. We agree with everything you are saying.

  3. Always get everything in writing with Ced. He's famous for lies and broken promises. I know alot of people he took advantage of. There's a reason why artist never resign with him, and if you ask any artist that's recorded for him, they'll tell you not to mess with him. I admire the rap a lot family. All of J Prince's artist have a tremendous amount of respect for him as a business man and as a person. Cedric will never have that kind of respect. Cedric is more like Jerry Heller, he's good at selling music, and not paying people.
