2014 was the year where military spending in the United States was at its highest. The US Government states that the military budget for the fiscal year/period of 2014-2015 is estimated to be approximately around $500 billion (USD) ($500,000,000,000.00). In 2014, the US Government reportedly spent $500 billion dollars on military defense. US Government spends nearly 75% of US tax dollars on military spending when it relates to our military defense.
As of 2015 in terms of military spending in the United States, the military budget for the fiscal year/period of 2015-2016 is estimated to be approximately around $750 billion (USD) ($750,000,000,000.00).
The US Government has permitted the US Navy and US Army to purchase hybrid aviation battleships, fighter planes, fighter jets, nuclear weapons, aircraft carriers, and of course, missiles. Most of US tax dollars are spent on military weapons as stated before. These military weapons are often nuclear weapons of mass destruction which are deadly and quite lethal!
Much of these weapons are weapons that the US Government wants to keep confidential and hidden from American citizens along with the rest of the world. There are many factors of reasons why the US Government wants to keep these military weapons confidential. The "Big Ship, Big Guns" concept is currently the battleship centric strategy the US Government is using. This where US government military spending is going.
